Mange Lad Tight, catchy emo-punk that really feels stripped down to its composite parts: short scratchy guitar riffs, rolling bass, and drums so tight it's as though they were welded to the bones of the thing. There's a Minutemen intelligence to everything, a kind of well-practiced punk tautness here; add that to these wonderful moments of melody/invention where the band recall Polaris (thinking of the guitars in the second half of Baton Ye Hauld In Yer Paw, and the click-style palm-muting on Cooling Board), impassioned half-shouted vocals throughout, and it's just a rad record!
